What is A Technology Resource Teacher (TRT)?
The TRT is an experienced teacher who preferably has either completed or is in the process of completing a master’s degree in Instructional Technology. The TRT will provide ongoing, sustained, and intensive high quality professional development to FCPS teachers. Referencing the Maryland Teacher Technology Standards (MTTS) and Maryland Technology Literacy Standards (MTTLS) and the Maryland Professional Development Standards (MPDS), professional development will focus on the support of academic standards through the integration of technology and technology tools, creating new learning environments, and enabling classroom teachers to effectively use the Internet.
